Every email is stored in a local SQLite database on your computer. Sotto has no server that stores or indexes your messages. When AI classification runs, only the minimum context needed is sent to Anthropic's API — and they don't train on it.
OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted using your operating system's keychain — macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, or Linux Secret Service. Sotto never stores secrets in plaintext.
AI classification runs through Anthropic's API. Sender logos come from logo.dev. Push notifications route through a lightweight proxy that handles connection metadata only — never message content. Our privacy policy documents exactly what goes where.
Sotto doesn't fingerprint you or monetise your data. There are no analytics pixels, no behavioural tracking, and no advertising. Your inbox is not a data source — it's your private workspace.
