Your email is yours. Here's exactly how we keep it that way.
Every email is stored in a local SQLite database on your computer. Sotto has no server that stores or indexes your messages. When AI classification runs, only the minimum context needed is sent to Anthropic's API — and they don't train on it.
OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted using your operating system's keychain — macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, or Linux Secret Service. Sotto never stores secrets in plaintext.
AI runs through Anthropic's API. Logos come from logo.dev. GIFs from Giphy. Crash reports go to Sentry (technical data only, never email content). Push notifications route through a stateless relay that sees your email address for routing but never your message content. Our privacy policy documents exactly what goes where.
Sotto doesn't fingerprint you or monetise your data. There are no analytics pixels, no behavioural tracking, and no advertising. Your inbox is not a data source — it's your private workspace.
